### Elon Musk Criticizes Dana Carvey's Impression on "SNL," Slams Show's Relevance

Elon Musk has voiced his displeasure with Dana Carvey's impersonation of him on "Saturday Night Live." Carvey appeared in the latest episode's cold open, imitating Musk while donning a "dark MAGA" hat and energetically chanting "USA! USA!" This portrayal didn't seem to amuse Musk, who took to X to express his thoughts. "Dana Carvey just sounds like Dana Carvey," Musk commented under a clip from the episode.

Not stopping at Carvey's performance, Musk also criticized "SNL" for what he perceives as their political bias. Responding to another post on X about the Trump-themed hat featured on the show, Musk wrote, "They are so mad that @realDonaldTrump won," accompanied by a couple of crying-laughing emojis.

Having hosted "SNL" in May 2021, Musk has a unique perspective on the show's current state. He elaborated further in his critique, saying, "SNL has been dying slowly for years, as they become increasingly out of touch with reality." He pointed out what he believes was an attempt by the show to sidestep the equal airtime requirement, which resulted in additional ad spots for Trump to balance out Kamala Harris' surprise appearance on the show. According to Musk, this maneuver ended up harming Harris' campaign more than it helped.

In the recent episode, Carvey, known for his portrayal of President Joe Biden in the first five episodes of "SNL" Season 50, took on the role of Musk post-election. During the sketch, the "SNL" cast members showered Trump with sarcastic praise in a bid to avoid his ire. Carvey then made an entrance in Musk's signature style – black-on-black attire and a MAGA hat.

Embodying Musk, Carvey engaged in quirky dance moves before declaring in an exaggerated South African accent, "Check it out: dark MAGA. Yeah! But seriously, I run the country now. America's going to be like one of my rockets. They're super cool and super fun, but there's a slight chance it could blow up and everybody dies. Haha!" He concluded his appearance by throwing his hands in the air, exclaiming, "See you in the White House!" and imitating Musk's enthusiastic "USA" chant from Trump's rally.

The ongoing exchange reveals not just Musk's dissatisfaction with his portrayal but also his broader views on the current relevance and political alignment of "Saturday Night Live."
