Musk dismissed the claims as "fake gnus," according to a meme he shared on his X platform in response to the initial report by The Wall Street Journal.

The publication had asserted that Musk had confided in friends about his intentions to contribute to America PAC. Additionally, The New York Times reported that the super-PAC was likely to receive significant support from the Tesla CEO. However, Musk took to his social media platform to emphasize that this was not the case, reaffirming his decision to abstain from donating to any political party.

This development followed a prior report by The New York Times, which highlighted Musk's attendance at a breakfast meeting with Donald Trump and a group of affluent Republican donors. Musk had previously expressed his non-allegiance to any political party in light of this report.

Sources in the United States indicate that America PAC consists of founding donors from Musk's social circle, which includes tech entrepreneurs who often support each other's startups, philanthropic ventures, and preferred political candidates.

Notably, this news comes after Elon Musk publicly endorsed Donald Trump following a recent assassination attempt on the Republican nominee. Musk even called for the resignation of senior members of the Secret Service in response to the incident. America PAC has reportedly donated around $15 million on behalf of Trump in recent weeks, with notable supporters including Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, tech entrepreneurs involved in the Facebook ownership dispute with Mark Zuckerberg.

The super-PAC is said to be led by Joe Lonsdale, a co-founder of software company Palantir and a close associate of Musk. Lonsdale's personal company contributed $1 million, alongside donations of the same amount from Antonio Gracias, a private-equity mogul and SpaceX board director, as well as Ken Howery, an early PayPal executive who worked closely with Musk. Additionally, Shaun Maguire, an investor from Sequoia Capital and reportedly close to Musk, has invested $500,000 in America PAC.

It remains to be seen how this denial from Elon Musk will impact the ongoing discussions surrounding his political leanings and donations. As the CEO of multiple influential companies, Musk's involvement in political matters continues to attract attention and speculation from both supporters and critics alike.
