Elon Musk launched a scathing series of tweets on Thursday, demanding the impeachment of President Trump and revealing that SpaceX will start decommissioning a key spacecraft used by NASA. These actions come in response to President Trump's threat to cancel billions of dollars in government contracts with Musk's enterprises.

This escalation marks a significant turn in the ongoing and intensifying conflict between Musk and Trump, who were once allies. "In light of the President's statement about cancellation of my government contracts, SpaceX will begin decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft immediately," Musk declared on X. This move could potentially disrupt several NASA missions that rely on the Dragon spacecraft for transportation.

Prominent Musk supporter and right-wing activist Ian Miles Cheong added fuel to the fire with a provocative tweet: "President vs Elon. Who wins? My money's on Elon. Trump should be impeached and JD Vance should replace him." This statement reflects the growing division among Trump’s supporters, many of whom are now reconsidering their allegiances.

Musk, the world's richest man, also spent much of his Thursday tweeting about Trump's purported connections to the infamous financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. These tweets are likely to deepen the rift between Musk and Trump supporters even further.

The deterioration of the relationship between Musk and Trump reportedly began after Musk criticized a major bill championed by Trump, which is expected to significantly increase the national debt. With this latest development, the MAGA coalition finds itself under considerable pressure as members are forced to take sides in a conflict that has shattered a previously cooperative relationship.
