### Drea de Matteo Claims Hollywood Blacklisted Her Over Anti-Vax Stance, Defends Support for Trump
Actress Drea de Matteo, widely known for her Emmy-winning role as Adriana La Cerva on "The Sopranos," has opened up about her political leanings and the backlash she has faced. In a candid interview with Variety, de Matteo expressed her support for the GOP and criticized Hollywood figures who have endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.
De Matteo, who initially voted for Joe Biden in 2020, revealed that her outspoken opposition to the COVID-19 vaccine led to a sudden dip in her career opportunities. She claimed that her agents and friends abandoned her following her anti-vax stance, which prompted her to rethink her political affiliations.
Feeling isolated, de Matteo began to align herself with like-minded individuals who shared her views. She is now confident that many in Hollywood secretly endorse Donald Trump, stating, "I think half of Hollywood is actually voting for Trump." According to de Matteo, she has had to resort to creating an OnlyFans account to sustain her financially during this period of professional isolation.
De Matteo also took aim at celebrities who have publicized their support for Kamala Harris, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jennifer Aniston, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Spike Lee. Her "Sopranos" co-stars Michael Imperioli and Lorraine Bracco have openly backed Harris as well, with Bracco even leading a fundraising call titled "Paisans for Kamala."
On the topic of reproductive rights, de Matteo, who identifies as pro-choice, voiced her skepticism about the fervent advocacy from her peers. She criticized the intense focus on reproductive issues amid what she sees as more pressing global concerns, suggesting that current pro-choice advocacy has deviated from the original intent of securing women's rights.
De Matteo’s revelations add another layer to the ongoing debate about political diversity and freedom of expression within the entertainment industry.
