**Donald Trump Selects Charles Kushner as US Ambassador to France**

In a recent announcement, President-elect Donald Trump has named Charles Kushner, father of his son-in-law Jared Kushner, as the next US ambassador to France. Trump praised Charles Kushner's considerable achievements in the business world and his extensive philanthropic efforts.

Trump highlighted Kushner's role as the Founder and Chairman of Kushner Companies, a significant player in the real estate market. According to Trump, Kushner Companies stands as one of the largest and most successful privately-owned real estate firms in the United States. Trump also noted Kushner's recognition as New Jersey Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young.

Additionally, Trump emphasized Charles Kushner's public service work, which includes his previous appointments to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council and his tenure as Commissioner and Chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Furthermore, Kushner has held positions on several prominent boards, including that of New York University (NYU).

Charles Kushner's new role as ambassador comes after a controversial past. He was pardoned by Trump in 2020 following a prison sentence for federal charges. Despite this, Trump underscored Kushner's broad experience and ability to serve effectively as the US ambassador to France.
