**Jimmy Kimmel and Donald Trump's Feud Escalates Over Oscars Comments**
Donald Trump's ongoing feud with talk show host Jimmy Kimmel reignited at a Pennsylvania rally, where the former president criticized Kimmel's performance as the host of the 2024 Oscars. Trump, who had previously called Kimmel the "WORST HOST" and suggested replacing him with George Stephanopoulos in a social media post, reiterated his disdain for Kimmel during his campaign speech.
At the 2024 Oscars, Kimmel had responded to Trump's initial insult by reading the post aloud and quipping, "Isn't it past your jail time?" During the Pennsylvania rally, Trump claimed that Kimmel's wife, Molly McNearney, and his manager, James "Baby Doll" Dixon, had advised him against making such a retort on stage.
Trump recounted Kimmel's reaction, stating, "He reads the whole thing. And then I think he said something like, 'Ha ha ha, he thinks he bothers me' or some crap like that. I said, 'He's one of the dumbest human beings ever.' He should have listened to his wife. What a dope."
Kimmel didn't hold back in his response to Trump's comments on his Tuesday night show. Mocking Trump's confusion, Kimmel suggested that Trump might be mixing him up with one of his sons. The comedian then reiterated his Oscars remark correctly, emphasizing that both McNearney and Dixon had fully supported his spontaneous response at the awards ceremony.
"I know your cognitive abilities are declining faster than the price of Truth Social stock," Kimmel said, offering to help Trump remember the joke by buying him a variety of merchandise featuring the quip.
In a powerful moment on Kimmel's show, McNearney stepped onto the stage with the Emmy she won for producing the 2024 Oscars and addressed Trump directly. Criticizing the former president's impact on women's reproductive rights, she highlighted the restrictive abortion laws in many states and urged Trump to step aside.
"Donald, thank you for your support, and I'm glad I have your attention because one and three women currently in this country is living under an abortion ban because you stacked our Supreme Court," McNearney said, pointing out that ten states make no exceptions for rape or incest.
McNearney concluded her statement with a blunt piece of advice for the former president: "So my advice for you is to shut up and go away."
The public exchange between Trump and Kimmel continues to draw attention, keeping their feud in the spotlight.
