### Trump Alleges Cheating in Philadelphia as Polls Close; Authorities Deny Claims

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump made claims of rumored "cheating" in Philadelphia. He wrote, "Law enforcement coming!!!" barely an hour before the first polls were set to close on Election Day.

Authorities, however, refuted these allegations. A spokesman for the Philadelphia Police Department informed Fortune that they were "not aware of anything at this time." In a similar vein, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner dismissed Trump's claims, indicating that the only sources of talk about "massive cheating" have been Trump himself.

"There is no factual basis whatsoever within law enforcement to support this wild allegation. We have invited complaints and allegations of improprieties all day. If Donald J. Trump has any facts to support his wild allegations, we want them now. Right now. We are not holding our breath," stated Krasner.

Trump has been vocal on both X, a social media platform owned by supporter Elon Musk, and Truth Social, which is owned by Trump Media and Technology Group. Notably, the trading of the stock for Trump’s media company was halted three times on Tuesday due to excessive volatility in the share price.
