### Mastering NYT Connections: Tips and Today's Solutions

Hey there! I hope your week has started off on a high note. Today, we dive into the New York Times' popular daily word game, "Connections." This game, accessible on the NYT website or through their Games app, presents players with a fresh puzzle every day at midnight. Your challenge? Take a grid of 16 words and organize them into four groups of four, each linked by a common theme.

For those unfamiliar, these groups can be diverse. You might categorize words based on items you can click, names of research participants, or terms preceded by a body part. Each puzzle has only one correct solution and sometimes the same word might seem to fit into multiple categories, requiring careful thought and strategic shuffling.

The hints and answer reveal for today's puzzle from Tuesday, November 19, offer some valuable insights into gameplay. The game uses color-coding to denote difficulty: yellow groups are the simplest, blue and green are moderate, while purple often involves tricky wordplay. However, making too many incorrect guesses will cost you; four mistakes mean game over.

Today's puzzle proved to be a challenge. An initial attempt to group JEOPARDY, WHEEL, PASSWORD, and CONCENTRATION as game shows didn't pan out. Furthermore, an effort to link PASSWORD, FACE, FINGERPRINT, and EAR as methods of authentication was close but off by one word—the missing piece was PIN. Successfully identifying the correct answer for the green group provided a small victory.

In hindsight, the yellow group was fairly straightforward, and success followed shortly. Guessing WHEEL as part of a joint reference alongside RIBBON was a fortunate stroke. The purple group's connection was deciphered before the final win, marking the start of a new winning streak.
