In a shocking turn of events, country music star Morgan Wallen found himself in trouble with the law after allegedly hurling a chair at police officers from a rooftop bar in Nashville. The incident unfolded on Sunday night, when Wallen, 30, was released on bond from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

According to reports, Wallen was charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Officers claim that the chair thrown by the star landed just three feet away from them, raising serious concerns about the safety of law enforcement personnel at the scene.

The motive behind Wallen's outburst appears to be linked to his ex-fiancée, Katie 'KT' Smith, secretly eloping with their toddler. Smith, 29, announced her marriage to Luke Scornavacco on April 3, a mere five days after they got engaged. The news undoubtedly crushed Wallen, who had been struggling to come to terms with the end of his relationship and the prospect of another man helping to raise his son.

A source close to the situation revealed, "Morgan has never gotten over [KT] even though he couldn't stay faithful to her. And now another man is going to be raising his son. Whatever happened at that bar had to be reality hitting him in the face over losing the love of his life."

Wallen and Smith had a tumultuous relationship, dating on-and-off from December 2016 to November 2019. Their union resulted in the birth of a son named Indigo in 2020. However, Wallen's infidelity eventually led to the end of their engagement. Smith's decision to elope seemingly struck a deep chord with the country star.

The arrest took place at Eric Church's new honky-tonk on Broadway, where Wallen allegedly launched the chair from the sixth floor. Witnesses claimed that he laughed after the act before being booked shortly after 12:30 am. Wallen's bond was set at $15,250, and he was released from Davidson County jail early Monday morning.

Wallen's attorney, Worrick Robinson, released a statement saying, "Morgan Wallen is cooperating fully with authorities regarding his arrest for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct." The singer is scheduled to appear in court on May 3, between his scheduled performances at Nissan Stadium in Nashville as part of his 'One Night at a Time' Tour.

If convicted of the felony charges, Wallen could face up to 15 years in jail, with a minimum sentence of one year. This is not the first time Wallen has had a run-in with the law, as he was previously detained in May 2020 for disorderly conduct at another bar in downtown Nashville.

Despite the recent legal troubles, Wallen had been planning to open his own bar in Nashville in 2024, aptly named 'This Bar,' as a tribute to his Tennessee roots. However, it remains to be seen how this incident will impact his future endeavors.

The news of Wallen's arrest has sent shockwaves through the country music community and leaves fans wondering about the future of his career. As the court case unfolds, the implications of this chair-throwing incident will undoubtedly continue to dominate headlines in the coming months.
