Colorado CEO Charged with Assault for Alleged Strangling Incident at In-N-Out Restaurant

Loveland, CO - A Colorado CEO has been charged with assault after an altercation at an In-N-Out restaurant in Loveland. The incident occurred when a 15-year-old boy accidentally splashed water on a nearby customer, prompting an unexpected violent reaction from the customer's companion.

According to the Loveland Police Department, officers responded to reports of a disturbance at the popular fast food establishment. Upon arrival, they interviewed a 15-year-old boy who confessed that he and his friends were engaged in harmless horseplay, which involved playfully splashing water on each other. Unfortunately, they unintentionally splashed some water droplets on a woman sitting nearby.

In a sudden turn of events, the teenage boy approached the woman's table to apologize for the unintended water splash. However, the woman's male companion, who has been identified as 55-year-old Lucas N. Kalisher, allegedly reacted aggressively by grabbing the boy and forcefully placing his hands around the front and back of the boy's neck. Witnesses claim that Kalisher then proceeded to throw the boy backward onto the floor.

Kalisher swiftly left the scene before the arrival of the police, but through witness accounts and video evidence, the authorities were able to identify him as the suspect. Subsequently, Kalisher turned himself in to the Loveland Police Department.

Kalisher now faces charges of second-degree strangulation, a felony, and child abuse, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned on Wednesday, where he will be given an opportunity to present his defense.

The Loveland Police Department expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the community in identifying Kalisher. Loveland Police Chief Tim Doran released a statement saying, "The Loveland Police Department is very appreciative of the invaluable cooperation we received from the community during this investigation. This incident exemplifies our new Vision Statement: ONE Community, ONE Police Department, ONE Team."

The legal proceedings will continue as the court reviews the evidence and witnesses provide their testimonies. The consequences of the alleged assault will be determined at a later date, as the justice system works towards ensuring a fair and just resolution to the incident.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of rational and non-violent conflict resolution, even in situations that may seem trivial.
