**Boeing Workers Ratify Historic Union Contract with 43.65% Wage Increase**

In a landmark decision, 33,000 Boeing frontline workers have ratified a new union contract that sets a new standard for compensation in the aerospace industry. Members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Districts 751 and W24 voted in favor of the agreement, which will deliver a compounded wage increase of 43.65% over four years. This development follows a nearly two-month-long strike that gained significant public and political support.

The new contract emerged after intervention by U.S. Secretary of Labor Julie Su, representing the Biden-Harris Administration, who played a crucial role in restarting stalled negotiations between workers and the company. The union leaders, Jon Holden of IAM District 751 and Brandon Bryant of IAM District W24, expressed that the agreement not only provides livable wages and benefits but also ensures a stronger voice for workers in company decisions.

Highlights of the agreement include a 38% general wage increase spread over four years, compounding to 43.65%, and a $12,000 ratification bonus that workers can receive either as a paycheck or a contribution to their 401(k). The contract also reinstates the AMPP incentive plan with a guaranteed minimum annual payout of 4%, and maintains a 401(k) employer match of 100% up to 8% along with a special company retirement contribution of 4% into the 401(k).

IAM International President Brian Bryant emphasized the contract's significance as a new benchmark in the aerospace industry, advocating for middle-class careers and family-sustaining wages. He also acknowledged the role of Acting U.S. Labor Secretary Julie Su in facilitating productive talks, which ultimately led to this historic agreement.

Labor leaders and workers hope that this victory will inspire other workers to organize and fight for fair wages and working conditions across various industries. The ratified contract demonstrates the power of collective action and the importance of union solidarity in advocating for worker rights and benefits.
