Body Found in Lady Bird Lake near Roy G. Guerrero Colorado River Metro Park

In a tragic incident, a body was discovered in Lady Bird Lake near Roy G. Guerrero Colorado River Metro Park on Saturday morning. The Austin Police Department (APD) received a distress call at 7:37 a.m. from a concerned fisherman who reported seeing a body floating in the water.
Emergency services, including the Austin Fire Department and Austin-Travis County EMS, promptly arrived at Krieg Field on 515 South Pleasant Valley Road to provide medical assistance. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the individual was pronounced deceased upon the arrival of APD officers.
Homicide detectives were present at the scene, although APD clarified that the incident is not currently being treated as a homicide. Officer Austin Zarling stated, "At this time, this is not being investigated as a homicide. It is being investigated as a deceased person, and the steps being taken are normal operating procedures."
Authorities have not released much information regarding the deceased individual, except that they are believed to be a possible male. This marks the second body discovered in close proximity to Lady Bird Lake this week, with the first incident occurring near the Lamar Street Bridge on Tuesday. However, the police have assured the public that there is no immediate cause for concern.
