In a surprising revelation, Joe Scarborough of MSNBC's Morning Joe claimed that sources within the Biden campaign have voiced concerns about former President Barack Obama working behind the scenes to remove President Joe Biden from the Democratic nominee position. Scarborough highlighted Biden's long-held resentments towards the Obama staff and being overshadowed by Hillary Clinton in the past.

This speculation gained momentum after Politico reported that actor George Clooney had a conversation with Obama before publishing his bombshell op-ed in The New York Times, urging President Biden to step aside. Interestingly, Obama did not contradict Clooney's call for Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 race against Donald Trump, according to the report.

The connection between Obama and concerns over Biden's performance emerged during a Hollywood fundraiser where Clooney observed Biden's decline firsthand. Notably, Obama was one of the first prominent figures to defend Biden after his widely criticized debate performance, which prompted numerous calls for his withdrawal.

In his op-ed, Clooney expressed his admiration for Biden but asserted that he couldn't win the fight against time, casting doubt on the President's chances of success in the upcoming November elections. The actor concluded that Democrats would not achieve victory with Biden at the helm.

The same day, former Obama speechwriter Jon Lovett took to social media to publish a viral post on X, noting Biden's recent behavior as "arrogant, small, defensive, angry, and weak." Despite acknowledging Biden's accomplishments, Lovett warned that the President could tarnish his legacy and jeopardize democracy if he allowed hubris and insecurity to prevail.

While these claims surrounding Obama's involvement and the mounting criticisms against Biden may raise eyebrows, it is important to note that they remain allegations without concrete evidence. The Biden campaign has not formally addressed these speculations, leaving room for various interpretations.

As the race for the Democratic nominee continues, the spotlight will undoubtedly remain on Biden, and how he navigates these challenges will undoubtedly shape the trajectory of his presidency.
