**Concert Raises $24.5 Million for Helene Victims in the Carolinas**
In a remarkable display of solidarity and generosity, a benefit concert managed to raise an impressive $24.5 million for the victims of Hurricane Helene in the Carolinas. Country music sensation and Charlotte-area native Luke Combs spearheaded the initiative, calling it the proudest moment of his career.
"My goodness, what a night!" Combs expressed on Instagram. "This will undoubtedly go down as the night I am most proud of in my career. Being able to give back to the place that gave me so much."
Held at the Bank of America Stadium on a Saturday night, the event saw a massive turnout with more than 82,000 people in attendance. Joining Combs as headliners were fellow North Carolinians, including Eric Church, Scotty McCreery, Chase Rice, Parmalee, the Avett Brothers, and James Taylor. The star-studded lineup also featured big names like Keith Urban, Bailey Zimmerman, and Sheryl Crow.
"There are so many people to thank for helping to make this night possible on such short notice," Combs wrote. "My team, band and crew worked so hard to pull this off and I seriously can't thank them enough...the list is long and if I missed anyone I apologize but you know who you are."
All proceeds from the event will be directed to charities aiding storm victims. Attendees, friends, and families filled the stadium with an overwhelming sense of community and love, making the event even more special.
Significant contributions also came from Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper, who donated the stadium for the concert and contributed all proceeds from inside the venue. Tepper and his wife made an initial $3 million donation the day following the hurricane and have been front-runners in other relief efforts.
Hurricane Helene has been recognized as the most destructive storm ever to hit the state, with devastating damages estimated at $53 billion. The funds raised through the concert aim to bring some much-needed relief to those affected.
