**Bank of America Customers Face Access Issues and Zero Balances**

On Wednesday, Bank of America customers experienced issues accessing their accounts, leading to a surge in complaints. According to Downdetector, a site monitoring outages, reports of problems spiked around 12:45 pm ET.

Numerous customers expressed frustration over being unable to see their account balances. Alarmingly, some who managed to log in found their balances displayed as zero. Several CNN employees with Bank of America accounts confirmed difficulties logging into their accounts online.

One customer reported seeing an error message stating that current balance amounts "may be temporarily unavailable" for one or multiple accounts. Another user on Downdetector noted that five accounts were showing zero balances, which amounted to over $20,000. While some customers were completely locked out, others found that only specific accounts were affected, with one user sarcastically pointing out that his debt was still showing up correctly.

Bank of America has yet to issue a response to these issues. In the meantime, customers remain concerned and are waiting for a resolution.
