### Bank of America Customers Face Account Access Issues Amid Outage

Bank of America users found themselves unable to access their accounts on Wednesday due to a reported outage, with some experiencing alarming zero balances on their banking app. The bank acknowledged the problem and stated that most issues have been resolved.

The issue became prominent around 12:45 pm ET, according to Downdetector, a platform that tracks outages. Customers expressed frustration over not being able to see their account balances, while others were concerned when they saw zero balances displayed on their accounts.

A physical branch of Bank of America located in Manhattan served as a backdrop to this financial distress. Bank representatives confirmed to CNN that some customers were indeed having difficulties accessing their accounts and balance information, but assured that these issues were being addressed and largely resolved. The bank extended apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Despite the bank's reassurances, it did not elaborate on the root cause of the problem or provide a timeline for when the systems would be fully operational. The outage also affected multiple CNN employees with Bank of America accounts, who reported being unable to log in online. One customer received a message indicating temporary unavailability of balance information for one or multiple accounts.

Users on Downdetector shared their vexations, with one noting that five of their accounts showed a zero balance, which amounted to over $20,000. Another user mentioned that while they could not access their account, their spouse’s account also showed no balance. Meanwhile, another customer sarcastically remarked that their debt information was still accurately displayed.

Despite attempts to regain normalcy, the full restoration of services remains uncertain, leaving customers apprehensive about the stability of their financial access in the immediate future.
