### Man Arrested Near Trump Rally in California for Loaded Firearm Possession
An arrest was made near a rally for former President Donald Trump in Coachella, California, on Saturday when authorities detained a man for the illegal possession of a loaded firearm and a high-capacity magazine. The Riverside County Sheriff's Department detailed the incident on Sunday.
Sheriff deputies discovered a shotgun, a loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine in the vehicle of Vem Miller, a 49-year-old resident of Las Vegas. Miller was stopped and subsequently taken into custody at a checkpoint close to Trump's rally venue.
Authorities have charged Miller with illegal possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a high-capacity magazine. Following his arrest, he was booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center.
Despite the seriousness of the charges, Riverside County Sergeant Ben Medina confirmed, "This incident did not impact the safety of former President Trump or attendees of the event." No further details about Miller or the circumstances of the incident were provided.
