### Suspects Arrested in Murder of Rochester Hills Businessman

Two individuals accused of the murder of Hussein Murray, a Rochester Hills businessman, have been apprehended by law enforcement. The second suspect was detained during a traffic stop in Plymouth Township, while the first suspect was arrested earlier in Louisiana.

Oakland County Sheriff's deputies announced the arrest of the second suspect with assistance from the Fugitive Apprehension Team, the Detroit Fugitive Task Force, and other departments. The second suspect was taken into custody without incident around 1:40 p.m.

Sheriff Michael Bouchard praised the collaborative efforts, stating, “I continue to be super proud of our team and their tireless efforts to pursue the suspects and take them off the street as quickly as possible. I thank our local, state, and federal partners for all their work. We continue to work every detail and expect the defendants to be held fully accountable for their heinous actions.”

The first suspect, identified as 37-year-old Carlos Jose Hernandez of Dearborn, was apprehended in Louisiana over the weekend during a routine traffic stop on Saturday. Both suspects are accused of entering Murray's home under the guise of being DTE employees, allegedly in search of valuables.

Investigators have disclosed that Murray, a 72-year-old owner of a jewelry store and pawn shop in Hamtramck, was followed into the basement by the intruders. His wife, who was tied up with duct tape and left upstairs, later managed to free herself and called the police.

The sheriff’s office is currently awaiting the extradition of Hernandez back to Michigan. In addition to facing charges of felony murder, Hernandez is also dealing with armed robbery charges out of Ohio.
