In a significant breakthrough, British police announced on Saturday the arrest of a 34-year-old man in connection with the deaths of two men whose remains were found in suitcases in southwest England. The arrest took place at a train station in Bristol early Saturday morning, with armed officers apprehending the suspect.

The Metropolitan Police also revealed that additional human remains were discovered at an address in Shepherd's Bush, west London, the previous day. These remains are believed to be linked to the ones found in the suitcases discarded near the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol on Wednesday.

Forensic officers, clad in blue suits and masks, were observed working at the crime scene in Shepherd's Bush on Saturday morning. It was confirmed by the police that the suspect will be transported to London for further questioning later in the day. The authorities have emphasized that extensive investigations are still ongoing, although, for now, they are not actively searching for any additional individuals connected to the incident.

Colombian national Yostin Andres Mosquera had previously been identified by the Metropolitan Police as a person of interest they were seeking to locate and speak with. Police officers responded to reports of a man acting strangely near the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge at midnight on Wednesday. However, when they arrived, the man, who had arrived at the location via a taxi, had already departed. The taxi has since been seized, and the driver is said to be cooperating with the investigation.

While the victims have not yet been formally identified, it is believed that both were adults. The results of the first autopsy were inconclusive, and another post-mortem examination is still in progress. On Friday, a 36-year-old man was arrested in Greenwich, southeast London, in connection with the investigation. However, he has since been released without charge.

The Metropolitan Police has corrected the age of the suspect from 24 to 34 following an amendment to the provided information.
