**Anduril Industries' Valuation Jumps to $30.5 Billion After Major Funding Round**

Defense technology startup Anduril Industries has reached an impressive valuation of $30.5 billion following its recent funding round where it successfully raised $2.5 billion. This marks a significant leap from the $14 billion valuation the Palmer Luckey-founded company boasted last year, when it secured $1.5 billion.

The latest development aligns with earlier reports from Reuters in February, which indicated that Anduril was negotiating to raise up to $2.5 billion, with strong backing from Peter Thiel's Founders Fund. Confirming these reports, Anduril revealed that Founders Fund indeed made a substantial $1 billion investment in this round. Other investors also increased their commitments from previous rounds, contributing to the Series G funding.

Since its inception in 2017, Founders Fund has been a steadfast supporter of Anduril, with one of the firm's partners, Trae Stephens, being a co-founder of the company. Anduril has become notable in the defense technology sector, developing various solutions including sensors and drones, which have gained traction amid rising demands for affordable autonomous defense products.

In addition to this remarkable funding achievement, Anduril recently announced a collaborative effort with Palantir Technologies to form a consortium aimed at jointly bidding for government contracts. This partnership comes as the Pentagon looks to curb costs in its defense expenditure.
