In a series of events that have escalated tensions in the region, a refinery in the Hodeidah governate of Yemen has reportedly been targeted by airstrikes. The aftermath of the strikes was captured in footage published by Al-Masirah, a Houthi-run news outlet.

According to the Houthi-run outlet, the Yemeni health ministry reported casualties resulting from the alleged strikes, with a number of people killed or wounded. Initial reports from Al-Masirah TV indicated that the strikes were carried out by US and British forces. However, the blame was later shifted to Israel.

Citing an official source, the Yemeni news organization claimed that the "Israeli enemy" had conducted raids targeting both the energy infrastructure and fuel tanks in the Hodeidah governate. These explosions come in the wake of a drone strike in Tel Aviv, which was attributed to the Houthis and resulted in one death and ten injuries.

Israeli officials have responded to the drone strike, warning of a possible retaliatory action against the Houthis. In a statement to Ynet on Friday, they declared that there would be a response to the shooting down of an Iranian drone by the Houthis. They also emphasized that they would not rule out the option of taking retaliatory measures on Yemeni soil, indicating that such actions were being considered.

The alleged strikes on the refinery in Yemen have further heightened tensions in the region. With different entities involved and differing claims being made, the situation appears to be complex and fluid. It remains to be seen how the involved parties will react and what implications these developments will have on the already fragile geopolitical situation in the area.
