### Alec Baldwin Faces Social Media Mockery Over Embarrassing "SNL" Wardrobe Malfunction

Alec Baldwin unintentionally became the focal point of humor during this weekend's "Saturday Night Live" episode. The 66-year-old actor, who returned to the show to impersonate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., had an awkward moment towards the end when he appeared with his fly unzipped during the final bow.

Standing alongside host Charli XCX and the rest of the cast, Baldwin clapped and waved at the audience, seemingly oblivious to the wardrobe malfunction. However, keen-eyed viewers took to social media to point out the mishap, with some even questioning Baldwin's state of mind. Comments ranged from, "Alec Baldwin's zipper was down on SNL. What a loser," to more speculative remarks like, "Is he drunk???"

Despite the social media buzz, Baldwin’s comedic prowess was on display earlier in the episode. He debuted his impression of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who, as the sketch suggested, was appointed Secretary of Health and Human Services by President-elect Donald Trump. Participating in the cold opening, Baldwin shared the stage with James Austin Johnson, who portrayed Trump, and Dana Carvey, who took on the role of Joe Biden. Baldwin’s Kennedy character humorously referenced his own appearance and vaccine skepticism.

This was Baldwin's second appearance on "SNL" this season, the first being in October where he played Fox News anchor Brett Baier. Baldwin is well-known for his previous role as Donald Trump on the sketch comedy series, a portrayal that earned him a Primetime Emmy Award in 2017. However, he handed over the Trump impersonation duties to Johnson following the tragic incident on the set of the film "Rust" in 2021, which led to Baldwin being charged with involuntary manslaughter.

The "30 Rock" alum was involved in a shooting incident on the "Rust" set, where a real gun, mistakenly loaded with a live round, was fired, resulting in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and the injury of director Joel Souza. Baldwin, who maintained that he never pulled the trigger, faced a potential 18-month sentence. However, his trial concluded with the case being dismissed by the judge due to withheld evidence by the prosecution.

The recent turn of events and social media reactions reflect the unpredictable nature of live television and the enduring scrutiny public figures like Alec Baldwin endure.
