In a shocking incident, an 11-year-old has reportedly confessed to the fatal shooting of a former city councilman and his daughter in Minden, Louisiana. Minden Police Chief Jared McIver confirmed that officers responded to a call on Sunday morning regarding two bodies found inside a house.

The victims have been identified as Joe Cornelius Sr., 82, and his daughter, Keisha Miles, 31. Upon arriving at the scene, responders discovered that both individuals had succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.

The alleged perpetrator, who is related to the victims, confessed to the heinous crime, according to Chief McIver. The 11-year-old, whose gender has not been disclosed, was present at the house on that fateful morning and is believed to have shot the victims between 6 and 6:30 a.m.
