Woman Seriously Injured in Knife Attack in Long Beach

A woman is currently recovering from serious injuries sustained during a violent attack in Long Beach early Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of 25th Street and Cedar Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The victim, identified as Beth Quintana, had just finished her shift and was leaving work when an unknown assailant approached her with a knife. The attacker demanded her personal belongings before physically assaulting her, as reported by the police.
Beth suffered multiple injuries in the assault, including a broken nose, a broken finger, a black eye, bruises to her face, and a concussion, according to a GoFundMe campaign set up by her roommate. She was immediately transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Police officers responded to the scene, but the suspect had already fled before their arrival. No description of the assailant has been released to the public at this time.
