In a recent statement, Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, expressed concern that Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine could potentially extend beyond the country's east and south. Naiev highlighted the increased production of weapons by Russia, aided by its allies, and emphasized the importance of aid from Ukraine's partners to combat these threats.

Naiev stated, "We understand that there is currently a resource war going on. The Russian Federation gets its resources with the help of the Axis of Evil - it is North Korea, it is Iran. And we, with the help of our partners, receiving air defense equipment from them, are opposing the Russian Federation with their resources."

The commander further explained that a reduction in aid would significantly impact Ukraine's defense capabilities. However, he reassured his country's determination to fight with the available means. Naiev emphasized the need for Ukraine to prepare for potential escalation if Russia continues to enhance its weapons production and technological capabilities with the help of its allies.

"We are getting ready for that," Naiev affirmed, emphasizing the military's efforts to strengthen defenses, lay mines, and train their forces to counter any potential expansion of the conflict.

Recent reports from the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Intelligence indicate that Russia has fired more than 800 drones at Ukraine over the last two months. Additionally, it has maintained an arsenal of approximately 870 cruise and ballistic missiles, raising concerns of potential major attacks against Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

Naiev underscored the significance of technological advancements in warfare, stating, "Technology is critical. The target for which, according to the old Soviet-style technologies, it was necessary to spend 100 shells - with the help of Western technologies, much less is needed, and it is measured in numbers up to ten, so the technology always outweighs the number. And I will emphasize once again that this help is very, very important to us."

The commander's warning comes at a critical juncture for Ukraine as it faces ongoing aggression from Russia. As the conflict continues, the support of Ukraine's allies and their provision of advanced technologies and equipment will play a crucial role in countering Russian aggression.

The international community will be closely monitoring the situation, with hopes that diplomatic efforts and increased aid to Ukraine will prevent any further escalation of the conflict.
