In a joint condemnation, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia expressed their disapproval of Israel's ground operations in the Gaza Strip, as tensions escalate in the region. The UAE, which established diplomatic ties with Israel last year, voiced concern over the military escalation and ensuing humanitarian crisis, emphasizing the potential loss of civilian lives. Saudi Arabia joined the chorus of criticism, denouncing the Israeli army's actions and warning against the continued violation of international law.

The Israeli military announced on Saturday that it had conducted a nighttime incursion into northern Gaza, intensifying its ongoing assault on the Hamas terrorist group. This expansion of military operations comes amidst mounting tensions and increasing violence between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants.

The UAE, a trailblazer in the Gulf region with its historic normalization of relations with Israel in 2020, expressed its deep concern over the deteriorating situation. The country's foreign ministry, as reported by the state news agency WAM, condemned the Israeli ground operations and highlighted the exacerbation of the humanitarian crisis. The UAE called for a swift resolution to prevent further loss of civilian lives.

Saudi Arabia, a key regional player, articulated its condemnation in a statement issued by its foreign ministry on Saturday. The Kingdom underscored its denouncement of the Israeli army's ground operations in the Gaza Strip and emphasized the danger of these violations of international law. Expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people, Saudi Arabia urged an end to the blatant and unjustified military actions against its "brotherly Palestinians."

Amidst these developments, Israel has initiated a limited ground operation in its ongoing offensive against Hamas in Gaza. The Israeli military's move signifies an escalation in tactics, as it seeks to target and dismantle the infrastructure of the terrorist organization. This comes following days of intense airstrikes and rocket fire between the two sides.

With tensions on the rise and condemnation from influential entities such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia, the situation in the Gaza Strip remains highly precarious. The international community continues to call for an immediate de-escalation, emphasizing the need to protect civilian lives and work towards a lasting solution that ensures peace and stability in the region.
