Fatal Anderson Township Crash Leaves Car Split in Half
A tragic single-vehicle accident in Anderson Township has resulted in the death of a man after the car involved was split in two. The Hamilton County Coroner's Office has confirmed that Jacob Watford, a 23-year-old male, was the driver of the vehicle during the time of the crash. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Beechmont Avenue and Five Mile Road.
According to reports from the Hamilton County Sheriff Public Information Officer, Kyla Woods, Watford's vehicle was traveling at a high speed between 73 and 76 mph in a zone with a posted speed limit of 40 mph. Eyewitnesses at the scene mentioned that they observed Watford slumped over the steering wheel a few minutes prior to the crash.
As a result of the accident, all lanes of Beechmont Avenue had to be closed temporarily from Five Mile to Salem roads. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Traffic Investigation Team and the coroner's vehicle were both present at the scene. However, the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation, as confirmed by Woods.
