House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, has accused President Joe Biden of engaging in an ongoing cover-up and repeatedly lying about his involvement in and knowledge of Hunter Biden's business dealings. Johnson made these claims during an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital. He also stated that the impeachment inquiry against Biden will continue under his leadership.

Johnson emphasized the importance of following due process and treating impeachment as a serious matter rather than a political tool. He affirmed that House Republicans will continue to gather evidence and pursue the truth without a predetermined outcome. He praised the exceptional work done by the House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, and Ways & Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith in uncovering evidence.

Legal experts have debated whether Congress can initiate impeachment proceedings for alleged crimes that transpired before holding the office of the presidency. Johnson expressed his belief that there is overwhelming evidence indicating Biden's involvement and knowledge of his son's business dealings, suggesting that bribery might also be involved.

Johnson mentioned the bank records being collected by House Republicans and stated, "Bank records don't lie." The probe led by James Comer has reportedly uncovered that the Biden family and their business associates earned over $24 million between 2014 and 2019 by selling Joe Biden as a brand worldwide.

The White House has consistently denied any business involvement between President Biden and his son or discussions regarding business matters. They have dismissed the impeachment inquiry as an evidence-free political stunt.

During his interview, Johnson emphasized the importance of accountability for the American people. He clarified that his job is to bring accountability, and it is not personal. He referred to his experience as part of former President Trump's impeachment defense team and criticized the Democrats for what he sees as a political vendetta against Trump.

When questioned about potential criticism from Democrats regarding the political nature of the impeachment inquiry, Johnson quoted John Adams, stating, "Facts are stubborn things." He emphasized that their goal is to present the facts and follow the truth, allowing the American people to draw their own conclusions.

Johnson did not provide a specific timeline for the investigation, but he expressed the desire to bring it to a conclusion soon. He believes that the American people are owed answers.

In addition to investigating Biden's ties to his family's business dealings, House Republicans are also examining allegations of obstruction of the Justice Department's investigation into Hunter Biden. These allegations stem from IRS whistleblowers claiming that politics influenced the prosecution throughout the probe.

The impeachment inquiry against President Biden continues to unfold, and as more evidence is collected, the true extent of his involvement and knowledge of Hunter Biden's business dealings may become clearer.
