In a tragic incident during a powerful storm on Monday, an 89-year-old South Shore man lost his life when a tree toppled onto a small travel trailer. The incident occurred at 99 Industrial Way, prompting a swift response from Hanover Police after receiving a distressing 911 call at approximately 9:47 a.m., according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz's office.

The victim, identified as Robert Horky of Hingham, was trapped inside the trailer as the large tree crashed down upon it. He suffered severe head trauma as a result of the impact. Emergency services rushed Horky to South Shore Hospital, where despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead.
