Chicago police are currently investigating a string of armed robberies that occurred within a span of two hours on Sunday afternoon. Authorities have revealed that at least six incidents took place in various neighborhoods on the Northwest and Southwest sides of the city, with four of them happening in less than ten minutes.

According to the police, five of the robberies involved a group of men traveling in a white vehicle. However, detectives have yet to establish a clear link or pattern connecting the incidents, and no suspects have been taken into custody so far.

The first robbery occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. in the Hermosa neighborhood. Six men emerged from a white vehicle and approached a 44-year-old woman who was standing outside in the 4400 block of West Armitage Avenue. Two of the men brandished firearms and demanded the woman's belongings. Fearing for her safety, the woman complied, and the attackers quickly fled the scene in their vehicle.

Approximately an hour later, another incident unfolded in the New City neighborhood. Four men exited a white SUV and approached a 49-year-old man and a 53-year-old man who were standing outside in the 2300 block of West 42nd Place. This time, two of the assailants displayed a firearm and demanded the victims' property. Despite complying with the demands, the victims were subjected to physical assault by the perpetrators. The wounded victims were subsequently transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where they were reported to be in good condition.

Around 5:35 p.m., four armed men disembarked from a white SUV in the Little Village neighborhood, located in the 3200 block of West 31st Street. Their target was a 42-year-old man, whom they threatened at gunpoint and robbed of his belongings.

Almost simultaneously, in the Brighton Park neighborhood, a 26-year-old woman was accosted in the 3800 block of South Campbell Avenue. Four men wielding firearms emerged from a white SUV and forcibly took her belongings before fleeing the scene.

Just two minutes later, in the same Brighton Park neighborhood, a 46-year-old man and a 39-year-old man were approached by a group of four armed men who had just exited a white SUV in the 3900 block of South Kedzie Avenue. The victims complied with the robbers' demands and relinquished their possessions before the assailants quickly made their escape.

Lastly, roughly 50 minutes later, a man got out of a white sedan and confronted a 47-year-old man in the 1100 block of West Ohio Street in the West Town neighborhood. The assailant, armed with a gun, demanded the victim's property. Fearful for his safety, the victim complied, allowing the assailant to escape in the white sedan.

Chicago police are urging anyone with relevant information regarding these robberies to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation. As of now, the authorities are working diligently to unravel the circumstances surrounding each incident and identify those responsible for these brazen acts of criminality.
