School Closures and Delays Across Western Montana Amidst Worsening Weather Conditions

As temperatures drop and weather conditions worsen, numerous schools in western Montana have announced closures and delays for Friday. NBC Montana has compiled a comprehensive list of the educational institutions affected by these measures.

The following schools will be closed on Friday: Bigfork Schools, Cayuse Prairie, Columbia Falls Schools, Creston School, Deer Park School, Fair-Mont-Egan, Flathead High School, Glacier High School, Hamilton Schools, Kila School, Lone Rock schools, Marion School District, Olney-Bissel School, Pleasant Valley School, Smith Valley School, Somers/Lakeside School, Swan River School, West Glacier School, West Valley School, Noxon Public Schools, Thompson Falls Public Schools, Trout Creek School, Whitefish School District, Browning Public Schools, Libby Elementary School, Dixon School District #9, Ronan Schools, Missoula Early Head Start, Stevensville Early Head Start, and Ravalli Head Start and Early Head Start.

Additionally, Evergreen Schools will remain closed, but students will have the opportunity for remote learning. Kalispell schools, including all activities, will also be closed tomorrow.

Corvallis Schools, however, will have a 2-hour delay. Buses will run two hours later than usual, and classes will commence at 10:30 a.m.

In other related news, the Heart Butte School District has canceled Thursday night's practice and the upcoming wrestling event for this weekend. Lima High School's basketball game against Ennis has also been canceled.

Residents and students are advised to monitor local news channels and school district websites for up-to-date information regarding any further closures or delays due to the inclement weather.
