In a recent development, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has come forward to defend the possibility of Tucker Carlson interviewing Russian President Vladimir Putin. These speculations arose when Carlson was spotted in Moscow at the renowned Bolshoi Theater, as reported by Russian Telegram channel Mash.

The appearance of Carlson in Russia has sparked conjecture that he may secure an interview with Putin, who has been largely isolated from the global stage following the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. Greene took to X to express her support for the potential interview, implying that Democrats and media propagandists are opposed to Carlson going "off script."

The Georgia Representative emphasized the importance of a free press in the United States and praised figures like Tucker Carlson for speaking the truth. It is worth noting that Carlson has previously defended Putin and echoed Kremlin talking points. Last year, he revealed that he had attempted to interview the Russian leader but was impeded by the US government.

Carlson has been a vocal critic of US support for Ukraine and has insinuated that Western nations bear some responsibility for the invasion after Ukraine's inclusion in NATO. Notably, Russian state media has frequently mentioned Carlson, with leaked memos from the Kremlin instructing them to utilize fragments of Carlson's broadcasts as much as possible in the aftermath of the invasion.

According to the Mash report, Carlson arrived in Moscow on February 1, having flown via Istanbul. This marks his inaugural visit to the country. However, it is important to highlight that it remains unconfirmed whether he is indeed in Russia and intends to meet with or interview Putin.

As discussions regarding a potential Tucker Carlson interview with Vladimir Putin continue to circulate, the world eagerly awaits official confirmation of this meeting and the potential insights it may bring.
