According to NBC News, former President Donald Trump is reportedly considering Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., as a possible running mate for the 2024 election. Trump expressed his admiration for Stefanik during a dinner at Mar-a-Lago, shortly after she gained attention for her strong questioning of college presidents regarding campus antisemitism.

Stefanik's name was suggested during the dinner, and Trump reportedly nodded in approval, referring to her as "a killer." While Stefanik did not directly address the vice presidential speculation, she expressed her loyalty to Trump and willingness to serve in his administration in any capacity during a recent interview with Fox News.

The congresswoman gained national attention in December for her sharp questioning of the presidents of Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Stefanik inquired about their universities' policies on bullying and harassment, specifically in relation to calls for the genocide of Jews. The presidents acknowledged that such speech could potentially violate their institutions' rules.

Stefanik's bold approach and loyalty to Trump have reportedly put her on the former president's radar for some time. Trump is said to prioritize loyalty in his potential running mate, particularly in light of his dissatisfaction with former Vice President Mike Pence.

In a recent announcement, Stefanik revealed that she would be joining Trump on the campaign trail in New Hampshire. With a social media post declaring, "America will elect President Trump the next President to save America," the congresswoman showcased her ongoing support for the former president's political aspirations.

While it remains to be seen if Stefanik will officially become Trump's running mate, her growing prominence and aligned interests with the former president make her a notable contender for a potential ticket in the 2024 election.
