Prominent Personalities Invited for Consecration Ceremony of Ram Temple in Ayodhya

AYODHYA - The much-awaited consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya has garnered significant attention, with a host of prominent personalities, including Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Ratan Tata, Amitabh Bachchan, Arun Govil, and Dipika Chikhlia, receiving invitations. Scheduled to take place on January 22, 2024, the ceremony will witness the installation of the new idol of Ram Lalla in the temple's sanctum sanctorum.

The event, organized by the Ram Mandir Trust, has garnered immense interest, leading to the issuance of over 7,000 invitations, including 3,000 VIPs. Among the invitees, special attention has been given to the families of the karsevaks who lost their lives during the temple movement. Representatives from 50 foreign countries, judges, scientists, writers, poets, journalists, and other eminent personalities have also received invitations to the historic occasion.

Renowned cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, along with industrialists Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, and Ratan Tata, are expected to grace the ceremony with their presence. Also, present will be Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and actors Arun Govil and Dipika Chikhlia, who portrayed the iconic roles of Ram and Sita in the popular TV serial 'Ramayana.' The presence of these esteemed personalities is expected to add grandeur and significance to the event.

Champat Rai, the general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, expressed his plans to invite representatives from 50 foreign countries to witness the consecration ceremony. Additionally, approximately 4,000 seers, writers, journalists, scientists, and prominent personalities from various fields will be in attendance. Rai stated, "We have also invited saints, priests, Shankaracharyas, former civil servants, retired army officers, lawyers, musicians, and Padma awardees."

The consecration ceremony will feature three idols of Ram Lalla, made from stones sourced from Karnataka and Rajasthan. These idols are currently being meticulously crafted and will soon be ready for consecration. The most exquisite idol will be selected for the momentous occasion, taking into account its beauty and significance.

Sharad Sharma, the spokesperson for the VHP, further highlighted the importance of journalists who played a pivotal role in supporting the Ram temple movement. Invitations have been extended to these journalists as a token of appreciation for their contribution and dedication to the cause. The VVIP guests attending the ceremony will be granted entry through barcode passes, ensuring a seamless and organized event.

The invitation letter, personally signed by Champat Rai, emphasizes the significance of this historic occasion and urges recipients to be present in Ayodhya to witness the consecration and enhance the dignity of the event. With the participation of such influential personalities, the consecration ceremony is sure to be a moment of great historical and cultural significance.
