In the midst of health concerns surrounding Kate Middleton and King Charles III, the royal family is facing a shortage of engagements in the upcoming months. With King Charles taking a month-long break and Kate not making a public appearance until around Easter time, experts are questioning the viability of the "slimmed-down" monarchy strategy.

Notably absent from the public eye are Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, two prominent members of the royal family. Despite their status as the only blood-born princesses of their generation, they have shown no desire to step in and assume more responsibilities, according to royal author Victoria Arbiter. In an interview with GB News, Arbiter explained, "Beatrice and Eugenie are happy to support the family behind the scenes. But I think each enjoys the life they're able to live without the added burden of a full schedule of royal engagements."

This is not the first time that experts have speculated on the princesses' reluctance to participate in royal family engagements. It is often attributed to their father, Prince Andrew, and the controversial associations that have surrounded him in recent years. However, despite their absence from royal duties, Beatrice and Eugenie are thriving in their personal lives.

Beatrice has reportedly assumed the role of Vice President of Partnerships and Strategy at Afiniti, a prominent technology company. On the other hand, Eugenie works as an associate director for Hauser & Wirth, an esteemed art gallery. Both sisters also enjoy fulfilling personal lives, with spouses and children to care for.

As the monarchy encounters a scarcity of public appearances amidst the health challenges faced by key members, critics argue that relying solely on a slimmed-down version may not be the ideal strategy. Without the involvement of members such as Beatrice and Eugenie, who used to attend every occasion, the monarchy potentially faces a reduced public presence.

While the absence of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie may be disappointing to some, it seems that they have found fulfillment and success in their private lives. Rather than feeling weighed down by royal engagements, the sisters have chosen to carve their own paths, demonstrating their independence and commitment to pursuing their own passions.

As the royal family navigates these challenging times, it remains to be seen how the "slimmed-down" monarchy strategy will fare in the long run. With Charles and Kate on hiatus and certain family members opting for private lives, the future of the royal engagements hangs in the balance.
