ORLANDO, Fla. - Central Florida can expect a significant rise in temperatures as warm southeasterly winds and cloudy skies sweep the region. Wake-up temperatures in the Orlando area are expected to range from the 50s to 60s on Friday morning.
As the day progresses, temperatures will soar into the low to mid-80s, complemented by scattered high-level clouds. The forecast also indicates light winds on Friday night, which may result in patchy fog by Saturday morning. At that time, temperatures are anticipated to be in the mid to upper 60s.
Over the weekend, the prevailing southerly winds will signal the approach of the next cold front to the area. This front brings with it an area of low pressure, likely to impact east Central Florida by Saturday night and continue into Sunday. Consequently, the chance of rain is expected to increase to 20-40%.
The presence of warm air ahead of the approaching front will keep temperatures approximately 10 degrees above normal, hovering in the mid-80s. Looking further ahead, long-range models indicate that the next strong front will reach east Central Florida late Sunday, allowing for a significant drop in temperatures. By Monday, high temperatures are projected to be in the 70s, while Wednesday and Thursday may witness highs in the 60s.
As for overnight lows, they are anticipated to generally range from the upper 40s to upper 50s, offering comfortable conditions for residents during the night.
In summary, the Orlando area and the rest of Central Florida can look forward to a warm weekend with highs in the 80s, followed by a cooler and more seasonable weather pattern early next week.
