Newborn Baby Found Abandoned in Trash Bin in Honolulu, Rushed to Hospital in Serious Condition

Honolulu, Hawaii - In a shocking incident of child abandonment, a newborn baby was discovered in a trash bin by a resident in Kahala on Saturday night. The Honolulu Police have now opened a child abandonment case, while the infant has been rushed to the Kapiolani Medical Center in serious condition.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. when a resident of Kahala heard an unknown woman screaming outside his home. Upon investigation, he discovered that the woman was in the process of giving birth and immediately dialed 911 for assistance. Before help arrived, the man noticed the woman leaving the scene and soon found a newborn girl in a nearby trash bin.
Following the initial report, the baby was quickly transported to Kapiolani Medical Center for urgent medical attention. The current condition of the newborn remains serious, and medical professionals are providing the necessary care.
The community has expressed shock and concern upon learning about the incident. Christen Tominaga, a resident, said, "Hearing about it is heartbreaking, really. Just knowing that that's a helpless little one, but I'm glad somebody found the baby. Hopefully, it's getting all the care and love it needs right now."
