In a case that has captured public attention and sparked speculation on social media, the mysterious deaths of three Kansas City Chiefs fans remain unsolved as police eagerly await the results of autopsies and toxicology reports.

On January 9, the bodies of Ricky Johnson, 38; Clayton McGeeney, 36; and David Harrington, 37, were discovered by McGeeney's fiancé at a friend's home in Kansas City, Missouri. The trio had gathered to watch the Chiefs game on January 7 but never made it back home. Initial police reports indicated that there were no obvious signs of foul play near the crime scene.

Law enforcement officials have repeatedly emphasized that there is no evidence or indication of foul play, and the case is being treated as a death investigation. Officer Alayna Gonzalez, a spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department, reiterated this in a recent email to The Associated Press, stating that no one is currently in police custody.

Authorities have refrained from disclosing details regarding the cause of death, leaving many questions unanswered. The investigation is considering the possibility of drugs or alcohol being involved in the three relatively sudden and simultaneous deaths. Weather records indicate that the temperature that night was around 33 degrees.

The Kansas City Police Department is eagerly awaiting the results of the autopsies, which are being conducted by Frontier Forensics, a private company that provides autopsy services for various counties in Kansas and Missouri. However, Gonzalez stated that the department has no control over the timeline for receiving the medical findings and it could take an additional six or more weeks to obtain toxicology reports.

Fueling the speculation surrounding the case is the homeowner's claim of being unaware of the bodies on his property for two days before their discovery. However, Gonzalez assured that the homeowner has fully cooperated with the investigation. The homeowner's attorney, John Picerno, released a statement expressing his client's devastation and ignorance about the presence and condition of his friends until the police arrived.

As the investigation continues, questions surrounding the homeowner's involvement persist on social media platforms such as TikTok. Family members of the deceased have also expressed their frustration to Kansas City media outlets. Nonetheless, police statements suggest that it may still be several weeks before any definitive answers are available to the public.

As the Kansas City Police Department anxiously waits for the autopsy results, they hope to provide additional updates and put an end to the speculation that has enveloped this perplexing case of the three Kansas City Chiefs fans found dead.
