A tragic incident occurred in Tualatin early Monday morning as a motorcyclist lost their life in a collision with a school bus, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

The accident took place at the intersection of 65th Avenue and SW Prosperity Park Road, prompting a swift response from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue at approximately 7:20 a.m.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office reported that at the time of the crash, there were two children and a bus driver on board the school bus. The two students, who are part of the West Linn - Wilsonville School District, were unharmed and have since been transported to their respective classes.

In the aftermath of the incident, WCSO has announced the closure of 65th Avenue between SW Robbins Road and SW Sagert Road, and this section is expected to remain closed for the next few hours.
