Man in Critical Condition Following Attack at Club Skye; Investigation Underway

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - Tampa police are currently investigating a disturbing incident that unfolded at Club Skye in the early hours of Monday, leaving a young man in critical condition.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:17 a.m. when a fan approached a performer who had just concluded a concert at Club Skye on East 8th Avenue in Ybor City. The featured performer for the night was Nardo Wick, a well-known rapper hailing from Jacksonville, as indicated on Club Skye's website.
According to authorities, a group of individuals, who appeared to be associated with the performer, physically assaulted the fan, inflicting severe injuries. Video footage of the incident revealed that the fan approached the group, at which point he was repeatedly punched against a wall before being knocked to the ground.
The victim, identified as George Obregón, aged 20, was immediately transported to a hospital located outside of Hillsborough County, where the attack was reported to the authorities. As of Tuesday afternoon, Obregón remained in critical but stable condition.
Following the incident, Wick's team released a statement vehemently condemning the attack, clarifying that the rapper himself had no involvement in the altercation.

The investigation into the assault at Club Skye is ongoing, and authorities are working diligently to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for the attack on George Obregón.
