In a series of overnight raids and confrontations in the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces have killed at least 10 Palestinians and injured dozens more, as reported by Al Jazeera. The incidents took place on Friday and targeted various locations, including Jenin, al-Fawwar refugee camp, Qalandiya refugee camp, and the village of Budrus.

According to local sources, five Palestinians were killed in Jenin, where the Israeli military destroyed the homes of two wanted individuals and demolished several monuments near the Jenin refugee camp. This raid, the sixth in the past two weeks on Jenin, lasted for approximately nine hours, starting at 22:00 GMT.

Jenin refugee camp has gained a reputation as a stronghold of Palestinian resistance, especially in recent years when fighters joined forces to confront the Israeli occupation. Similarly, in al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron, Israeli forces engaged with Palestinians for nearly three hours, resulting in two deaths and injuries to at least five others, according to medical sources.

Israeli forces also conducted an early morning raid in the Qalandiya refugee camp north of occupied East Jerusalem, resulting in one Palestinian killed and several others injured. Additionally, one Palestinian died from wounds sustained during an Israeli raid on Nablus earlier this week.

In the village of Budrus, northwest of Ramallah, Israeli forces killed one Palestinian and injured two others, as they were heading out for Friday prayers while the village was being raided.

Reports indicate that Israeli forces detained at least three Palestinians, including the parents of a wanted individual, in an attempt to pressure Palestinians to surrender.

The Israeli occupation of the West Bank, which has been ongoing since the 1967 Arab-Israeli war, has led to frequent incursions into Palestinian communities by Israeli forces. This has resulted in an escalation of violence in the area, with army raids, attacks by Israeli settlers, and Palestinian attacks on Israeli forces and settlers becoming more commonplace.

Since the start of the Gaza war on October 7, following Hamas fighters crossing the border and killing over 1,405 people, mostly civilians, Israeli authorities report that more than 140 West Bank Palestinians have been killed. The Gaza health ministry claims that over 9,000 people, two-thirds of whom are women and children, have been killed in Israeli bombardments.

The situation in the occupied West Bank remains tense amid ongoing raids by Israeli forces. The international community continues to call for a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and an end to the violence in the region.
