In a major development in the fight against terrorism, the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) has created a dedicated unit called NILI with the aim of tracking down and eliminating every Hamas terrorist involved in the surprise attacks that took place on October 7th. As reported by Fox News, the agency's new unit will operate separately from other command and control units, focusing solely on targeting members of a special Hamas commando unit within the Nukhba wing.
Known by the Hebrew acronym "The Eternity of Israel Will Not Lie," the NILI unit has been given the task of rooting out every individual who played a role in the atrocities committed during the October 7th attacks. The unit is composed of both field operatives and intelligence personnel, combining their expertise to ensure the success of their mission.
Recent reports also highlight the success Israel has had in neutralizing high-ranking Hamas officials and commanders involved in the attacks. Among those killed were Ali Qadhi, a key commander within the Hamas Nukhba force, believed to have orchestrated the assault on the border region. Another significant figure eliminated is Billal Al Kedra, identified by Israeli forces as the leader of Hamas' deadly raid in Nirim.
The October 7th attacks struck over 20 towns and villages in southern Israel, leaving a trail of devastation in their wake. The assault resulted in the deaths of more than 1,400 people, while around 200 individuals were reportedly taken as hostages and transported to Gaza. These shocking numbers highlight the brutality that Hamas unleashed upon innocent civilians.
The formation of the NILI unit marks a significant step in Israel's ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and protect its citizens. By specifically targeting those responsible for the October 7th attacks, the Israel Security Agency aims to bring justice to the victims and send a clear message to terrorist organizations that their actions will not go unpunished.
As Israeli forces remain engaged in strikes on the Gaza Strip, the international community will closely monitor the progress and impact of the NILI unit. The fight against terrorism continues, and Israel's commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its people remains steadfast.
