Israel is reportedly making preparations to eliminate Hamas leaders abroad following the end of the ongoing conflict, according to Israeli officials who spoke to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ). The plan involves targeted killings of Hamas leaders who are known to hide across the Middle East. The move comes after Hamas terror chief Ismail Haniyeh was seen celebrating from the safety of his Qatar office during recent terror attacks. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the Mossad to act against Hamas heads wherever they may be.

According to the WSJ report, Israeli officials have already started the necessary preparations for carrying out targeted assassinations abroad. The objective is to dismantle Hamas and neutralize its leadership, which remains active and influential even outside of the Gaza Strip. Hamas leaders around the world have been marked for death, said Israel's Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant.

The decision to target Hamas leaders abroad has brought some divisions within Israel. Former Mossad director Efraim Halevy has reportedly described the plan as "far-fetched," suggesting that pursuing Hamas leaders worldwide would be driven more by a desire for revenge rather than a strategic aim. However, Netanyahu and other Israeli officials have emphasized the importance of neutralizing Hamas leadership to ensure long-term peace and security.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Qatar has received assurances from Israel that Mossad will not eliminate terrorists on Qatari soil. Israel's offensive on Hamas resumed after a week-long ceasefire expired, with the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launching a barrage of missiles and sending warplanes over Gaza. The ceasefire was broken by Hamas, which launched rockets on Israel in the early hours.

As the conflict escalates, the Hamas-led health ministry in Gaza reported that 14 people were killed and dozens injured within the first two hours after the fighting resumed. Most of the victims were women and children. Efforts are underway to negotiate a new extension of the seven-day truce by Qatari and Egyptian mediators, despite the renewed violence.

The exact timeframe for the targeted killings of Hamas leaders abroad remains unclear, but Israel's determination to dismantle Hamas and ensure the safety of its citizens is evident. The international community will be closely monitoring developments and assessing the implications of such actions on the overall situation in the region.
