A tragic incident has unfolded in St. Louis, Missouri as 39-year-old Dr. Sarah Sweeney was found dead at her fiancé's residence earlier this month. This marks the second time a woman has been discovered deceased at the same man's home in just over three years.

On January 13, at 6:39 a.m., authorities responded to a call at a house in the Westwood area of St. Louis, where they discovered Dr. Sarah Sweeney's lifeless body. The Frontenac Police Department stated that there were no apparent signs of trauma, and the cause of death is still pending autopsy results.

Dr. Sweeney, who had recently established her own podiatry practice in the area, had been residing with her fiancé, Robert Daus, a local fire captain. The couple had met while Dr. Sweeney was working in the emergency room shortly after her relocation to St. Louis.

The incident report obtained by Fox News Digital revealed that Daus was the 911 caller. This grim discovery eerily echoes a similar tragedy that took place almost four years prior, in July 2020, when Daus reported his then-fiancée, Grace Holland, had allegedly taken her own life in front of him at his previous address in Creve Coeur.

However, Holland's family raised concerns about the suicide ruling, citing inconsistencies such as her being right-handed but supposedly shooting herself in the left temple. They also noted that her $20,000 engagement ring appeared in crime scene photos but later went missing. Consequently, Holland's family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Daus, which remains ongoing.

Dr. Sweeney's mother, Teresa Sweeney Light, disclosed that her daughter had been made aware of Holland's tragic demise by her family. Yet, by November 2021, Dr. Sweeney ceased responding to messages from her loved ones. Concerned about her daughter's relationship with Daus, Light expressed her worries but did not speculate on the cause of Dr. Sweeney's death.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Sweeney battled mast cell activation syndrome, a potentially life-threatening condition that can be managed through appropriate medication. She also struggled with a bone disorder, as revealed in November 2022 court records, where the doctor claimed to have been harassed by a former employer.

The investigation into Dr. Sarah Sweeney's sudden death at her fiancé's home is ongoing. The Frontenac Police Department has yet to provide a comment on the matter, and Holland's family's attorney has not responded to requests for comment at this time. As the community mourns the loss of another individual under tragic circumstances, authorities continue to unravel the circumstances surrounding these unfortunate incidents.
