In a bid to provide transparency and accountability, House Republicans have unveiled a new website dedicated to the ongoing impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden. The website, GOP.gov/Bidenimpeachmentinquiry, aims to showcase the alleged corruption involving Biden and his family, according to exclusive information obtained by Fox News Digital.
The one-stop shop website will feature the work conducted by the House committees on Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways & Means, which are leading the impeachment effort. It will include summaries of their findings, along with supporting key evidence. The intention is to ensure that the American people have access to information related to the allegations against President Biden.
House Republican Conference Chair, Elise Stefanik of New York, expressed confidence that their investigations have uncovered a significant political corruption scandal. Stefanik asserted that the Biden family engaged in a corrupt influence-peddling scheme, with Joe Biden directly benefiting from it. She claimed that the family attempted to sell access to the highest bidder, including foreign adversaries. Additionally, Stefanik alleged that President Biden has repeatedly lied to the American people about his involvement in his family's alleged corruption.
The website will host an interactive timeline, curated by the House Oversight Committee, documenting the alleged influence-peddling activities of the Biden family during Biden's time as vice president. This timeline involves business dealings with companies linked to China, Kazakhstan, Romania, Russia, and Ukraine.
Notably, the website will include a dedicated section covering the federal criminal investigation into Hunter Biden, the president's son. It will also feature a "photos" section displaying images of checks written to Joe Biden, as well as photos of the president with his son's business associates.
House Republicans encourage visitors to the website to sign up with their email addresses in order to receive the latest updates regarding the impeachment inquiry. Additionally, the website provides a breakdown of the impeachment inquiry "by the numbers," highlighting the $240,000 in direct payments to President Biden that lawmakers have found, as well as the issuance of 20 subpoenas. Last month, the committee subpoenaed Hunter Biden, James Biden, the president's brother, and requested transcribed interviews from several other Biden family members.
James Comer, the House Oversight Committee Chairman, emphasized the Republicans' commitment to delivering transparency and accountability to the American people. Comer stated that their investigation has uncovered evidence suggesting that Joe Biden was aware of, participated in, and benefitted from the alleged corrupt business schemes of his family.
The White House has repeatedly criticized the impeachment inquiry, referring to it as an "evidence-free" investigation. Hunter Biden is scheduled to provide a deposition behind closed doors on December 13, despite offers to testify publicly. The committees have also heard testimony from Department of Justice officials involved in the investigation into Hunter Biden.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, of Ohio, stressed the Republicans' readiness to provide transparency and accountability. He accused President Biden and his administration of changing their stories about the president's involvement in his family's alleged influence-peddling schemes and business deals.
The impeachment inquiry is being led by Comer, Jordan, and House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith of Missouri. The investigation was initiated during the tenure of former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, and the current House Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana is fully supportive of the efforts.
House Republicans are focused on investigating various aspects, including the business dealings of the Biden family and whether President Biden was involved. They are also examining allegations of political misconduct and undue influence on prosecutorial decisions throughout the federal investigation into Hunter Biden.
