Israeli intelligence has revealed that Hamas terrorists killed in the recent attack on southern Israel were found carrying instructions for deploying cyanide-based chemical bombs. The shocking discovery highlights Hamas' intention to use chemical weapons in their terror attacks against civilians, according to a cable sent by Israel to its embassies.
Detailed diagrams for a "cyanide dispersion device" were found on USBs retrieved from the bodies of the Hamas operatives who carried out the massacre at Kibbutz Be'eri, as reported by Israeli intelligence reviewed by Axios.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog confirmed the existence of the instructions, disclosing that they originated from Al Qaeda's design for chemical weapons dating back to 2003, during an interview with Sky News. "It's Al Qaeda material. Official Al Qaeda material. We are dealing with ISIS, Al Qaeda, and Hamas," President Herzog said.
The severity of the situation is underscored by the fact that the instructions provide guidance on how to create a non-professional chemical weapon using cyanide. Israeli officials have drawn parallels between Hamas and other terrorist groups like ISIS, who have employed horrifying violence in their pursuit of extremist Islamic law.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in an address following the attack, declared that the atrocities carried out by Hamas have not been seen since those committed by ISIS. Images released by Israeli Defense Force soldiers also revealed that Hamas operatives brought ISIS flags to some of the attacked Kibbutzs, further highlighting the connections between the two groups.
In addition to the cyanide-based chemical weapon instructions, other disturbing pieces of intelligence were reportedly found on the bodies of Hamas agents. Battle plans indicating a desire to "kill as many people as possible" and take hostages were discovered, as well as explicit directions to target schools for mass kidnappings and identified locations where large groups of people are likely to gather, such as supermarkets and dining halls.
The revelation of Hamas terrorists possessing instructions for cyanide-based chemical weapons raises concerns about the increasing risk of unconventional attacks in the region. Israeli authorities remain vigilant in their efforts to counter the threat posed by such extremist groups and protect civilian populations from their heinous actions.
