In a recent interview on Fox News's "Sunday Morning Futures" with Maria Bartiromo, Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) voiced his concerns about the Colorado Supreme Court's ruling disqualifying former President Trump from the state's primary ballot. Johnson claimed that "radical leftism" has infiltrated every institution in the U.S., including the courts, education system, and government agencies.

The ruling by the Colorado Supreme Court last week sent shockwaves through the political landscape, stating that Trump had engaged in an insurrection through his role in the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack. This decision has sparked backlash from Trump's campaign and numerous GOP lawmakers, who argue that it is an illegal attempt by Democrats to interfere with the election and prevent Trump from reclaiming the Oval Office in 2024.

Notably, all seven members of the Colorado Supreme Court were appointed by Democratic governors, with six already winning retention elections, and one planning to do so next year. Trump's campaign has announced its intention to appeal the ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court, which currently holds a conservative majority of 6-3.

The controversy surrounding Trump's disqualification from the Colorado primary ballot has further deepened the political divide in the country. Critics argue that the ruling is politically motivated, while supporters see it as a necessary step towards accountability for the events of the Capitol attack.

Johnson's comments align with a growing chorus of GOP voices expressing their dissatisfaction with the perceived influence of "radical leftism" within American institutions. They suggest that this infiltration poses a significant challenge to the integrity of the democratic process and the fair representation of conservative candidates.

As the legal battle continues to unfold, the coming decisions from the U.S. Supreme Court will be closely watched, with potential ramifications for future elections and the balance of power in American politics.
