In a shocking turn of events, a fourth woman has come forward to accuse hip-hop music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs of sexual assault. The accuser filed a lawsuit on Wednesday in a New York federal court, alleging that she was a victim of a gang rape and sex trafficking scheme orchestrated by Combs and others.
The unnamed woman claims that the assault took place in 2003 when she was just 17 years old, while Combs was 34. According to the lawsuit, Combs, along with Harve Pierre, a former president of Bad Boy Records, and another unidentified individual, preyed on the vulnerable high school teenager as part of a sex trafficking operation. They allegedly provided her with drugs and alcohol and transported her by private jet to New York City, where she was gang raped at Combs' studio.
The lawsuit was filed under the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Law, which grants survivors of alleged gender-motivated violence the right to file civil claims until March 2025. The accuser's attorney, who also represented Cassie in her now-settled lawsuit against Diddy, stated that these claims highlight a pattern of behavior by Combs and Pierre.
This latest lawsuit adds to the growing list of sexual assault allegations against the Bad Boy Entertainment CEO. Prior to this, two other women had also accused Combs of sexual abuse. The second accuser filed her lawsuit just before the expiration of the New York Adult Survivors Act, alleging that Combs drugged and sexually assaulted her back in 1991 when she was a college student. The third lawsuit, filed on the same day as the second, accuses Combs and R&B singer Aaron Hall of sexually assaulting a woman in the early '90s.
Despite the settlement with Cassie and his resignation at Revolt, Diddy vehemently denies any wrongdoing. In a statement, he asserted, "Enough is enough. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday, but I stand firm in my innocence."
The lawsuits against Diddy have sparked a significant conversation surrounding sexual assault and the accountability of powerful figures in the music industry. As these cases progress, it remains to be seen how they will impact Diddy's legacy and influence in the entertainment world.
