Former President Donald Trump has launched a series of blistering attacks against Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron, who will be delivering verdicts in his $250 million New York fraud trial. Trump's outburst followed a dramatic trial day which saw him fined $10,000 for violating a limited gag order and Engoron rejecting a defense attorney's request for a verdict in Trump's favor.

Engoron, who has already found Trump and other defendants liable for fraudulently inflating the values of real estate properties and key assets, has fined the former president a total of $15,000 after ruling that his testimony during the trial rang "hollow and untrue." The judge has also warned Trump that further violations will result in more severe sanctions, potentially including imprisonment.

Despite being restrained by gag orders in multiple cases, Trump has turned to social media to fight his legal battles. In several lengthy posts, he labeled Engoron as a "tyrannical," "unhinged," and "fully biased Trump Hater" who should be ashamed of his handling of the case. Trump also took aim at New York Attorney General Letitia James, his ex-attorney Michael Cohen, and a New York Times reporter in his tirade.

While Trump's attacks on Engoron intensify, his 2024 presidential campaign has sought to capitalize on the case by criticizing it as a "sham trial" and accusing the judge of being a "Democrat judge" who continues to harass Trump. Engoron, who is presiding over the trial without a jury, will deliver the verdicts that will resolve six other claims in James' lawsuit.

This latest development showcases Trump's mounting legal challenges and his attempts to sway public opinion through social media despite being bound by gag orders. While his efforts are met with restrictions, Trump has proven to be a prolific social media user, frequently targeting special counsel Jack Smith and potential witnesses in his federal case.

The trial, which began after a New York appeals court panel denied Trump's request to delay it, is expected to last until late December. As tensions rise and Trump's attacks become more fervent, the courtroom battle continues to draw attention and anticipation.
