In a scathing social media thread, Michael LaRosa, the former press secretary for first lady Jill Biden, expressed his frustration with President Biden's team in light of declining poll numbers, calling it "inexcusable." LaRosa urged Biden to revamp his team and emphasized the need for a stronger response to smears, lies, conspiracies, and disinformation that have contributed to unfavorable public opinion.

LaRosa's comments came after a recent CNN poll revealed that former President Donald Trump garnered higher favorability ratings than President Biden, among other indicators. LaRosa highlighted the fact that such a situation is unacceptable for a man known for his character and integrity.

Expressing disappointment, LaRosa criticized the team's handling of the narrative surrounding President Biden over the past two years, emphasizing that it is up to Jill Biden to effect necessary changes. He pointed out that the very same team had been responsible for lackluster performances in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada during the primary campaigns.

Calling for a complete overhaul of the President's team, LaRosa emphasized that he had been advocating for a different approach to Republican attacks on Biden's integrity and reputation for months. LaRosa argued that numerous polls, including the CNN poll in question, have consistently validated his concerns. Highlighting the urgency of the situation, he urged President Biden to show that he cares and recognizes the same numbers that others do.

The CNN poll revealed that Trump currently holds higher favorability ratings than Biden. While 38 percent of respondents viewed Trump favorably, only 36 percent had a favorable view of Biden. On the unfavorable front, 59 percent held a negative view of Biden, compared to 56 percent for Trump.

Additionally, the poll indicated that Trump has a slight edge over Biden in voter preference, with Trump leading Biden 49 percent to 45 percent among registered voters, one year ahead of the 2024 elections.

LaRosa's critique of President Biden's team is not an isolated incident. MSNBC's "Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski had recently criticized Biden's staffers for their inability to prevent situations where he appears confused or falls on stage. Brzezinski's remarks followed Biden's public fall during a commencement ceremony at the U.S. Air Force Academy in June.

In response to LaRosa's posts on social media, a White House official commented, "Hope he's okay," indicating sensitivity to criticism. However, LaRosa defended his statements by referencing other influential figures who have voiced similar concerns.

The Biden campaign did not provide an immediate response to a request for comment on the matter.

As President Biden's poll numbers continue to decline, it remains to be seen whether these criticisms from former team members and media personalities will prompt significant changes within his administration.
